They're both back in school. Christopher has been back for two weeks, Clare's first day is today. It's weird, scary, and exciting all rolled up into one big reflux-inducing ball.
It's a frigid morning here in the bold north, but Clare was so excited she barely noticed. She is finally meeting her teacher in person. She'll be with other people. She'll (hopefully) have way more work to do. I honestly don't know how she is going to handle putting in a 6 plus hour day.
Christopher has been so energized for the past two weeks. It really hit home to me how hard it has been for them to be here day in and day out. He is so much happier now.
We'll see how long it lasts. There is already one class that is in quarantine, and I am sure more will follow. We are going to test regularly (and had negative test results come back for today).
For now, though, they're masked up and ready to learn. Or at least talk to friends and eat pizza for hot lunch.
